Claremont Company is growing and we’re looking to add an experienced and results driven Property Manager to oversee a 200-unit property in North Charleston, SC. This new position will require considerable attention to staffing the team with well-qualified individuals, supporting and developing the management team, and taking all steps to ensure a resident experience that aligns with the company mission and values.

Responsibilities
  • Manage staffing efforts, ensuring that the team is fully supported and engaged.
  • Oversee onboarding and training of office staff on company systems and processes, including Leasing, Resident Experience, Social Media, Online Reputation Management, Leasing Reporting, Property Walk Inspections, and other functions to align with company expectations.
  • Manage and inspire onsite teams through coaching, mentorship, and performance management to achieve revenue, occupancy, resident retention, leasing & budgetary goals.
  • Drive leasing performance by monitoring pricing, assessing market conditions, and developing strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish leasing and budget targets, ensuring clear communication and accountability across teams.
  • Manage property budget and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company objectives.
  • Maintain team engagement, address staffing issues, and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Resolve resident and property concerns with professionalism and alignment to company standards.
  • Support contract and vendor management to ensure service quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Oversee all required reporting, including Leasing activity, financials, and budget planning.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the local rental market and competitor properties, continually adapting strategies to market shifts.
  • Monitor team performance, resident satisfaction, and budget adherence, making data‑driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Partner with leadership to align operational strategies with broader business outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local housing laws, regulations, fair housing guidelines and company policies.
Requirements
  • 2 years of progressive residential property management experience. Charleston market experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in leasing, mentoring, and developing onsite teams.
  • Strong background in driving revenue through leasing operations, vendor contract management, budget management, and compliance with SC housing laws and fair housing guidelines.
  • Track record of onboarding, training, and coaching both office and maintenance teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Proficiency with property management software;
    Yardi preferred.
  • College degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, organizational, and decision‑making abilities.
  • CAM, CPM or other designation preferred.
