Job Overview

The Production Planner – Molding will be a key team member in supporting the startup and continued success of the Molding Operations at a newly constructed state‑of‑the‑art facility located in North Charleston, SC. The Production Planner will be an established planning professional with extensive SAP experience. The Production Planner will work closely with the Molding Manufacturing Supervisors, Production and Supply Planner, Material Scheduler, as well as the Device Assembly Production Planner to ensure that appropriate production schedules are created and maintained that ensure continued success of on‑time customer delivery.

This role will also be expected to work with operational leadership to continually improve our end‑to‑end process. This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan and prioritize molding operations to achieve maximum throughput with minimal disruption while still meeting or exceeding customer expectations
  • Work with Business Development/IT to enhance planning systems (APS, MES, SAP, etc.)
  • Work with Material Planner and Material Scheduler to ensure Raw Material Inventory is available to produce required volume
  • Partner with the Device Assembly Production Planner, Molding Engineers, and Manufacturing Supervisors to ensure operations continue to run seamlessly
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels within SAP EWM, MES (Manufacturing Execution System), and Power

    BI Dashboards
  • Assist with monthly blind Cycle Count to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained
  • Use and understand the interconnectivity of our production systems (i.e., SAP, MES, APS, Servus, Motan, etc.)
  • Pro‑actively elevate potential stock‑out issues as soon as possible to Planning Manager and site leadership
  • Be a creative and collaborative member of the Operations team to ensure the continued success of plant operations
  • Partner with plant Master Data team to ensure all BOM and Router information is accurate on all component and finished‑good production SKUs
  • Willing to voluntarily take on additional tasks and responsibilities, as needed, to ensure the continued success of our operation as well as the company at large
  • Perform other tasks and/or duties as assigned
Skills and Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2‑3 years of planning / scheduling for a highly automated molding operation
  • Prior experience in a highly regulated industry highly preferred
  • Above average knowledge of SAP and MES systems (extensive knowledge – highly preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Cross‑functional operations experience preferred
