Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide primary care coordination for patients and implement collaborative care plans.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provides direct care to patients on assigned unit.
• Administers and documents prescribed medications and treatments.
• Establishes therapeutic rapport with the patient, provides support and utilizes approved crisis intervention techniques
• Fully participates as a contributing member of multidisciplinary treatment team,
• Develops individualized care plans for patients.
• Actively participates in the orientation of new unit staff.
• Demonstrates an understanding as well as an ability to work within the specific milieu of the population under their care.
• Demonstrates sound leadership skills and utilizes these skills in organizing the activities and schedules for medical and/or non-medical tasks of the unit for a given shift.
• Demonstrates skills in facilitating and/or co-facilitating process oriented and didactic groups.
• Demonstrates skills in limit and boundary setting.

Available Schedules

Day: 7:00am to 7:30pm

Night: 7:00pm to 7:30am

Qualifications

Education

Graduate of an accredited college of nursing.

Experience

Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience preferred, but not required. New Graduates accepted.

Age-Specific Competencies

Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric

Licensure/Certification

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina.

CPR/CPI Certification Required - provided upon hire
