Landscape Team Leader; Charleston

STATUS: Hourly, Full time

LOCATION: North Charleston, SC

REPORTS TO: Branch Manager

PAY: $20-22/hour

The Landscape Team Leader position is open within our landscape maintenance division located in North Charleston, SC.

The ideal candidate is an energetic and motivated individual with high-quality standards. This role reports directly to the Branch Manager and will be responsible for providing safe, dependable, and reliable transportation to the members of landscape crews to various locations within the Charleston, SC area. This position is also responsible for performing landscape maintenance along with the crew.

The expected work hours are Monday through Thursday with occasional Fridays and Saturdays (as needed) beginning at 6:30 am.

• Organize, supervise, lead and train employees within established guidelines and timeframe.
• Thoroughly clean and store all equipment in designated areas, when not in use.
• Inspect each job site weekly and maintain punch lists given by the manager while on site.
• Track jobs on a daily basis to ensure all properties are being properly maintained within the time constraints that are provided by the client.
• Continuously identify ways to improve work processes, efficiency, and quality.
• Keep managers aware of all customer concerns and communication on the job site.
• Maintain safe working conditions on the job site at all times.

• Prior leadership experience and/or a minimum of 2 years of professional landscape maintenance experience, are preferred.
• Current State Technician and/or Applicator license preferred, but not required.

• Must be able to effectively communicate in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Demonstrates dependability and commits to the required hours for job completion.
• Can safely operate and maintain all equipment used for landscape maintenance.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.

• Work outside in various weather conditions that may be hot, cold, wet, or turbulent.
• Work in environments with unusually loud noise levels, requiring hearing protection.
• Must be able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies.
• Must understand and abide by all OSHA regulations, including wearing PPE.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods.
