SUMMARY:

ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex). We are looking for a Landscaping /Grounds Lead to join our team.

• High School Diploma / GED preferred.
• 2 - years’ experience in a Landscaping lead role.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to operate zero turn lawnmowers, chainsaws, string trimmers, sprayers, hedge trimmers, rakes and shovels.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and pass a drug and physical exam.

• Lead and coordinate landscaping projects from start to finish.
• Plan and schedule landscape maintenance and improvements.
• Communicate with customer to understand their landscaping needs and preferences.
• Source and budget materials and supplies for landscaping projects.
• Monitor and inspect work progress and quality on site.
• Provide training and guidance to staff.
• Build and execute schedule of services.
• Attend weekly meetings with government Contract Representatives.
• Cut grass, using walking-type and riding-type mowers.
• Trim hedges and edge around sidewalks, flower beds and other structures.
• Prune shrubs and trees to shape using shears, pole saws, and other hand tools.
• Spread mulch and pine-straw.
• Water flower beds or newly installed sod as needed.
• Weed removal from flower beds and planters.
• Post-storm clean-up including removal of fallen limbs and wind-blown debris.
• Use a blower and vacuum mulcher to clear sidewalks, streets, and parking lots of debris.
• Inspect, clean and account for all landscaping equipment.
• Report all concerns to Program Management.
