Job Summary

Join the Boeing Metrology And Test Equipment Services (MATES) team in North Charleston, South Carolina, as a Metrology & Calibration Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for calibrating, adjusting, certifying, maintaining, and repairing Measurement Test & Equipment (MT&E)/process equipment using approved procedures and specifications. Additionally, you may handle logistics for calibrated assets and engage in Test Asset Management and Property Management activities.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, set up, and operate Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) or process equipment
  • Conduct tests, analyze data, and document results
  • Troubleshoot laboratory and test-related issues
  • Update equipment status and complete necessary paperwork
  • Ensure equipment readiness for calibration following metrology processes
  • Prioritize work based on assigned lists or instructions
  • Perform visual inspections of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies
  • Identify non-conforming items and follow lab processes for resolution
  • Assist in developing new calibration processes and procedures
  • Handle logistics for routing calibrated assets to remote labs/suppliers
  • Manage Test Asset and Property Management tasks

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in metrology, calibration/certification, or instrumentation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of metrology/calibration/certification/instrumentation experience
  • Experience on quality-oriented teams
  • Mechanical background experience
Education/Experience Requirements

Experienced (Level
3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Associate degree) with 3 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination thereof.
