Purpose

The purpose of the Floor Care Specialist is to be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all flooring and related products both internally and externally. This role is vital to the launch and growth of this product line. Self‑starters with a strong work ethic will excel in this role.

What You Will Do
  • Meet and exceed revenue goals for assigned territory.
  • Carry out “direct” sales activity for priority segments and create effective sales penetration plans.
  • Cultivate effective “cross‑selling” activity with our existing sales professionals.
  • Participate in ride‑along sessions with other sales professionals to develop business and product knowledge of the customers and the sales team.
  • Attend trade associations and networking events to create external brand awareness.
  • Ensure customers receive the highest level of service.
  • Provide training and perform demonstrations on flooring equipment to employees and customers.
  • Perform job walks to ensure the optimal solution and quote is provided to the customer.
  • Perform job setups.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Provide recommendations for improvement to your manager and the company.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Progressive sales background and operational management experience in the equipment rental or related industry.
  • Customer service experience required; sound knowledge of equipment specifications, applications, and setup.
  • A valid driver’s license.
Skills
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Sales and financial acumen.
  • Ability to walk into unfamiliar environments and adjust rapidly to the setting.
  • Ability to drive company/departmental vision and purpose.
  • Time‑management skills; ability to follow up with customers in a timely manner.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with customers.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Multi‑tasking ability using project‑management skills to accomplish goals.
  • Adaptability to changing business needs.
  • Computer skills to support entering information into systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Pay Range

$40,000 – $50,000 plus commission and vehicle.
