We’re looking for a dedicated Body Technician to join the Classic Collision team in Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities
:

  • Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist collision estimators in assessing damage and preparing a 100% repair plan.
  • Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
  • Plan work procedure, following the work order for all operations listed.
  • Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment to gain access to damaged areas, storing parts to prevent damage.
  • Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling dents and welding broken parts; ensure all gaps and fits meet industry standards.
  • Remove damaged panels and bolts or weld replacement parts into position and reassemble after parts are painted.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools (welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.).
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to the paint department.
  • Repair or replace defective parts.
  • Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all Classic Collision standard operating procedures, safety rules, and guidelines.

Qualifications
:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • I‑CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
  • 2–3 years of collision repair experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Customer‑focused attitude with ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
  • Successful completion of background check required.

Physical & Environmental Requirements
:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, occasionally for long periods, reach with hands, arms and move objects up to 20 pounds. Specific visual abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
