Avionics/Electrical Technician

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Avionics/Electrical Technicians with aerospace assembly experience for an opportunity in Charleston, South Carolina.

No tools required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).

7+ years experience in aviation/aerospace.

7+ years experience using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, and other specialized computer applications.

7+ years experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English.

7+ years experience in an advanced manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field performing work with basic hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

7+ years experience with wiring design drawings including system interconnects, wire routing, and equipment installation drawings.

Top Skills Needed:

Routing wire harnesses per blueprint instructions & Boeing specifications for the 787 program.
Building connectors, splicing wires, crimping, and terminating wires.
Installing connectors to receptacles and electronic components.
Performing repairs and rework to incorporate engineering changes.
Fiber optic cleaning, inspection, light loss testing, routing, and installation.
Bonding & grounding operations including CRNs, jumpers, ground stud installation, and resistance testing.

Job Responsibilities:

Routing wire harnesses according to blueprints and Boeing specifications for the 787.
Building connectors, splicing, crimping, and terminating wires.
Installing connectors and electronic components.
Performing repairs and rework per engineering instructions.
Fiber optic inspection, light loss testing, routing, and installation.
Bonding & grounding, including CRNs, jumpers, and resistance testing.
Operating mechanical lifts (e.g., JLGs, Magic Carpets, scissor lifts).
Handling chemicals, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and finishes.
Working around energized electrical sources and hazards, with exposure to noise.
Inspecting work quality and checking for FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
Ensuring First Pass Quality (FPQ) per engineering drawings and specifications.
Performing finger manipulation tasks and reading from screens and printed documents.
Adhering to safety standards and compliance regulations.
Verifying FAA compliance with Quality Management System.
