Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Aircraft Painter to support the Decorative Paint Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable shift.

Position Responsibilities:

• Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for painting

• Makes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraft

• Applies aircraft finishes and external markings to aircraft sections

This position is expected to 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC)

This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Aerospace Technician and Mechanic Aptitude Virtual Job Tryout:
To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Availability to work variable shifts, with the understanding that your assigned shift will not be confirmed until after training

• 1+ years of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting

• Required to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks

• Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel

• Ability to carry/lift up to 10-35 pounds.

• Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• 3+ year aircraft painting experience or automotive

Shift

This position is for variable shift (shift
4).Variable shift means you will be assigned a shift at the time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on your assigned work shift until re-evaluation is required. Shifts assigned for training may differ from your permanent work shift.
