Residential Appliance Delivery & Installation Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Residential Appliance Delivery & Installation Specialist to support our delivery and installation operations. This hands-on position involves transporting, positioning, connecting, and inspecting household appliances in residential and select commercial settings.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, enjoys working with customers, and understands the importance of completing each job correctly and safely. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a team environment where schedules and daily assignments may vary.

• Transport, unload, and position major household appliances at customer locations.
• Perform installations of refrigerators, dishwashers, cooking appliances, laundry equipment, and other residential products.
• Complete necessary water, electrical, gas, and ventilation connections when authorized and properly trained.
• Inspect appliances for visible damage and confirm equipment functions correctly before completing service.
• Address basic installation challenges and communicate any issues requiring additional support.
• Walk customers through appliance operation and answer general product questions.
• Protect customer property, including flooring, walls, doorways, and surrounding areas, during deliveries and installations.
• Remove packaging materials and maintain organized, clean work spaces.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel, dispatch teams, and management regarding deliveries and service concerns.
• Record completed work using electronic applications, photographs, and delivery documentation.
• Follow established procedures for safe equipment handling, vehicle operation, and workplace conduct.
• Represent the company professionally while maintaining a positive customer experience.

• Previous experience in appliance delivery, installation, moving, construction, or a mechanical trade is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of relevant hands-on experience is beneficial.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license and satisfactory driving history.
• Ability to operate appliance dollies, lifting straps, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Basic understanding of appliance connections, installation procedures, and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing work accurately.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working both independently and alongside another installation professional.
• Willingness to work additional hours when necessary to meet operational demands.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• Experience delivering and installing appliances in newly constructed homes or residential developments.
• Familiarity with gas appliance connections and applicable safety requirements.
• Previous experience driving a box truck or operating commercial delivery vehicles.
• Understanding of residential plumbing, electrical, or general construction practices.
• Completion of technical training or industry-related certification programs.

• Regularly handle bulky and heavy appliances using appropriate equipment and team lifting techniques.
• Ability to lift or assist with moving items weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Frequently walk, stand, crouch, reach, bend, and navigate stairways.
• Work in occupied homes, construction sites, apartment communities, and other delivery environments.
• Perform job duties in changing weather conditions and varying indoor environments.
• Maintain awareness of safety hazards while handling large equipment and working in customer properties.
