Job Summary:
A qualified load builder with a strong attention to detail, comfortable lifting and moving lumber building materials, the ability to correctly identify and count materials, operate forklifts safely, and engage the team with a positive attitude.
- Place products into proper location in the Warehouse and outside in yard
- Ensure that the load is properly stacked, packaged, and labeled for delivery
- Ability to maintain inventory controls by pulling and replacing inventory into the correct bin location
- Maintain a high level of customer service for any walk-in clients
- Ability to safety and efficiently drive a forklift in accordance with all company safety standards
- Report any known equipment issues to the warehouse manager immediately
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and turned into the correct location
- The successful employee for this position will show initiative and be proactive
- Verify accuracy of inbound/ outbound shipments
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School or GED
- 2-3 years of lumberyard or related industry experience
- Ability to operate material handling equipment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communicator
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Takes pride in doing the job well, efficiently
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Safety oriented
- Takes pride in completed works
Your area of knowledge and expertise:
Physical Requirements- Frequent (Carrying/lifting requirement) - Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
- Frequently (Sitting/standing requirement)
- Work Environment works inside warehouse and in outside weather conditions.
