Job Title: Procurement Clerk (Contract)

Location: Abbott Park, IL (North Chicago)

Contract Length: 11/03/2025 to 11/03/2026 (Strong possibility of extension)

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (100% onsite for 4 months, then 1 day remote/week)

Pay Rate: $23–$25/hour (W-2 Only)

Eligibility: U.S. Citizens only – No visa sponsor ships

Position Summary

The Procurement Clerk will support purchasing activities across the organization by executing procurement processes, managing supplier interactions, and contributing to strategic sourcing initiatives. This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders to drive compliance, improve efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage stakeholders to understand procurement needs and promote adoption of tools and strategies
  • Support supplier management efforts, including scorecards and sustainability tracking
  • Assist with achieving cost savings and category objectives
  • Process requisitions, manage contracts, and contribute to supplier selection
  • Educate users on procurement systems (e.g., Ariba, Coupa) and troubleshoot issues
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and tools
  • Implement and communicate process changes across departments
  • Resolve supplier performance and system-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Required:

    Experience using Ariba procurement tools
  • Preferred:
    Familiarity with Coupa, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Experience with requisitioning and procurement systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of procurement strategies and best practices
