Scientist, Research Scientist

Scientist I – 1 year initial contract with possible extension. Medical benefits available ite lab-based role in North Chicago, IL. Standard first shift Monday–Friday.

Base pay: $39.00/hr – $42.00/hr.

• Play a vital role in supporting our team of seasoned scientists and engineers.
• Contribute to lab-based projects that drive innovation and excellence within our dermal filler process development team.
• Advance the dermal filler product portfolio by designing and developing cutting‑edge products in our pipeline and optimizing existing commercial products, ensuring they meet company and industry standards.
• Participate in meaningful projects that impact the business and broader market.
• Assist in analytical testing of dermal filler products.
• Set up and troubleshoot mixing equipment.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related scientific field.
• Previous research and/or laboratory experience.
• Previous experience with hydrogels and polymers.
• Proficiency in equipment design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Exposure to process chemistry, modeling/simulation, and data analysis software.
• Familiarity with rheology is a nice to have.
