Job DescriptionPayroll Tax Specialist
DescriptionProvide expertise in state and federal payroll tax compliance, working closely with tax providers, handling tax notices, authorizations, and power of attorneys. Ensure meticulous completion of tax filings and related communications.
Skills- Previous work with state agencies
- Experience with tax notices, tax providers, power of attorneys, and third‑party authorizations
- Multi‑state tax experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
- Clear and effective communication
- Attention to detail – ensuring all aspects of the project are thoroughly considered and executed
- Solid foundation of payroll taxes – federal, state and FICA taxes
- Payroll tax filing experience
- Fast‑paced work environment
- Project and testing experience
- High school diploma
- 2–3 years of payroll experience
- Self‑motivation and consistency
- 100% onsite required
- Team culture – internal tickets, communication with outside tax vendors, testing, and meetings
- Possible contract extension
High school diploma with at least 2–3 years of payroll tax experience.
Interview- First round: virtual meeting
- Second round: in‑person meeting
