Job Description
Purpose:
The Senior Financial Analyst, Supply Chain FP&A is part of the Global Supply Chain Finance HQ team and is responsible for a variety of financial planning, reporting, and analysis tasks to support Abb Vie’s global supply‑chain leadership. This position will play a key role in developing effective and insightful forecasts, consolidating supply‑chain forecasting and reporting deliverables from other finance teams, and preparing timely and accurate reports for operations HQ teams and business partners.
You will work with finance team management to refine processes and systems, enhance capabilities, and deliver high‑quality financial information that helps drive solutions to key strategic challenges.
- Develop and prepare drafts of the annual Plan, updates, LRP, and LBE as required; complete required Operations FP&A submissions within deadlines.
- Perform monthly close activities, including journal entries and variance analysis.
- Support headcount reporting for the business units, tracking actual headcount, open positions, and contractor support levels.
- Support capital processes, planning, and reporting including project accounting and accurate RCE reporting; build annual capital plans and LRPs and track spending against RCEs to create LBEs.
- Collaborate with business partners and operations FP&A to complete ad‑hoc analyses as requested and support any project teams; provide guidance and communicate financial implications to business decisions.
- Assist with preparation of consolidated supply‑chain planning deliverables (LBE, Plan, LRP, Flash, etc.) for operations headquarters teams; work with other supply‑chain finance teams to understand results and effectively summarize and present that information as part of a consolidated reporting package.
- Support the administration of consolidated supply‑chain planning cycles; develop calendars, templates, etc. to facilitate the collection and consolidation of planning cycle results and ensure timely, accurate, and controlled results.
- Identify and drive system‑based and process efficiencies throughout the team while building relationships with finance peers via collaboration and teamwork.
- Work closely with other departments within Abb Vie to ensure that strategic initiatives are achieved.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum 3+ years in finance or accounting.
- Knowledge of basic financial planning and accounting principles.
- Proficient Excel skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively interact with affiliates, areas, and other internal business partners.
- Demonstrated effective project management and time management skills with the ability to complete work by established deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; must be detail oriented.
- SAP experience.
- Experience with financial reporting systems (e.g., IBM TM1, IBM Planning Analytics, SAP BPC, Oracle HFM).
- Experience with data and reporting automation systems (Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, SAC, Workiva).
- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and the Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
