- We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Fixed Assets Analyst to join our Finance team.
- This role will support the management, verification, and reporting of fixed assets, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal processes in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- This position supports project accounting, involves high-volume Excel work, journal entries, and basic reconciliations, and works closely with a small collaborative finance team.
- Strong Excel proficiency is mandatory (basic functions minimum).
- ERP experience required (SAP preferred, Oracle or Net Suite acceptable).
- Assist in the recording and tracking of fixed asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals.
- Support monthly and quarterly close activities related to fixed assets, including depreciation runs and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records in the fixed asset subledger.
- Conduct physical asset verification and tagging across various locations to ensure asset integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with project owners and finance teams to ensure timely capitalization of assets.
- Help prepare audit documentation and respond to internal and external audit requests.
- Participate in system enhancements related to fixed asset accounting.
- Support compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies.
- Assist in generating reports and analysis for management review.
- Perform manual Journal entries, accruals and reclassifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance; internship or exposure to fixed assets is a plus.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP, Power BI, or other ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Manager emphasized Excel proficiency due to previous skill gaps.
- ERP experience in any system is beneficial.
- Candidates should not use AI during interviews.
