• Support pharmacists in entering, processing, and managing drug therapy orders, interpreting and dispensing prescriptions, and maintaining patient and pharmacy records.
• Collaborate with Leads and Supervisors on daily activities, issue resolution, and project tasks.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert in all pharmacy operations functional areas.

• Assist pharmacists in complying with federal, state, and local regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and corporate policies while accurately interpreting prescription orders and entering them into the core pharmacy system.
• Notify physicians of incomplete or incorrect prescription information.
• Perform physician outreach when within the legal limits of pharmacy technician authority.
• Obtain verifiable verbal orders for product replacement and missing prescription data from providers.
• Manage the patient adherence process and schedule medication deliveries per Pharmacy Solutions guidelines.
• Assist patients with treatment compliance by entering/updating medications, allergies, and medical conditions and triage calls to Nursing or Pharmacists.
• Use internal and web tools to communicate with health insurance payors and providers to investigate benefits and transmit test claims, if applicable, to verify coverage.
• Identify and recommend process or system improvements to enhance pharmacy operations efficiency.
• Interact professionally with internal and external teams to ensure accurate patient services.
• Collaborate with personnel to determine objectives and support changing business priorities through task execution or oversight.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls, prioritize work, organize and perform testing, and complete additional tasks as directed by management.
• Check the pharmacist voicemail when applicable.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Illinois Pharmacy Technician licensure by the first day of employment and ongoing CE requirements as needed.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a healthcare setting with familiarity in medical record handling, prescription data entry, and high‑quality customer service.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to make high‑quality decisions under general supervision.
• Clear, professional verbal and written communication with other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
• Flexible schedule: available between 7 am and 7 pm.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
