As part of Abb Vie's Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team, R&D Global Therapeutics is dedicated to building and deploying scalable,
business-driven Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications and Platforms
. We are seeking an innovative and highly skilled Principal Business Systems Consultant, AI Platforms, to lead the strategy and execution of automation initiatives, with an emphasis on AI document generation solutions.

In this role, you will guide the evolution of Abb Vie's AI platforms by collaborating closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to design, validate, and operationalize impactful AI use cases. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing business and technical requirements to accelerate delivery of Generative AI solutions that address key business challenges. Key responsibilities include shaping and managing the use case backlog, translating requirements into actionable development plans, and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, market‑relevant platform features.

Your leadership will drive AI adoption, enhance operational efficiency, and accelerate innovation across R&D Global Therapeutics.

• Works with senior business unit clients to understand specific business processes, business drivers, and business strategy across multiple functions.
• Identifies, prioritizes and communicates resulting needs and opportunities for business process improvement that can be enabled via technology.
• Translates business requirements to BTS and functional requirements to the domain.
• Investigates existing systems and emerging technologies to proactively address business needs.
• Defines needed human and technology capabilities and builds necessary training.
• Mentors, identifies, communicates, and participates in opportunities to improve process and/or technology.
• Accountable for project requirements and BTO Demand initiation and coordination.
• Anticipates risks, defines mitigation plans and works with teams to implement.
• Measures performance to ensure the project is progressing versus original plan and budget.
• Ensures accuracy of business process improvements and technical solutions.
• Acts as senior liaison and business process expert to IT organizations.
• Manages, motivates and mentors cross‑functional and enterprise project teams.
• Proactively seeks strategic business opportunities for new or existing IT capabilities.
• Experience managing a project/program budget of at least $1 million.

• Bachelor's Degree with 9 years experience;
  Master’s Degree with 8 years experience;
  PhD with 4 years experience.
• Demonstrable knowledge, experience and capabilities in financial planning and evaluation, business plan development, investment modeling, portfolio planning, and Request, Project and Program methodologies and life cycles (e.g., SDLC). Knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• AI Product Management experience.
• Proven experience managing and/or delivering AI use cases, with a focus on generative AI solutions.
• Experience in software requirements definition and workshops for eliciting requirements from stakeholders.
• Proven experience in software development best practices with proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
