Job DescriptionIn the areas but not limited to SAP (LE, IM, WM/EWM): conceive, design, engineer, and implement data, software, and technology solutions that solve significant business problems in the Supply Chain Management function. Investigate, identify, and implement state-of-the-art technology platforms that drive productivity and efficiency gains in Supply Chain and throughout multiple business areas. Act as a lead engineer in your area of expertise and critically evaluate relevant technological advances and integrate this knowledge into new business technology solutions.
Responsibilities- Within systems of SAP (LE, IM, WM/EWM) conceive, design, engineer, and implement software and technology solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas. Demonstrate the ability to resolve key project hurdles and assumptions by effectively utilizing available information and technical expertise. Perform and validate SAP configurations.
- Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of technologies and platforms related to software design and development, programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, data analysis and visualization tools, data storage, network connectivity, virtualization/cloud environments.
- Design, develop complex SAP solutions, lead design decisions, develop test plans including scenarios.
- Apply knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare business to advance agile, impactful, and cost-effective solutions.
- Operate autonomously with minimal direction from or interaction with supervisor, keeping key stakeholders informed through effective verbal and written communication.
- Maturely leverage relationships with affiliates, subsidiaries, vendors, and industry peers in accordance with Abb Vie Values, Vendor Management Office, and Purchasing.
- Mentor/supervise a team of one or more and guide and evaluate performance of those individuals; accountable for effective performance of the team/individuals.
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable corporate and divisional policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years experience;
Master’s Degree with 6 years experience;
PhD with 2 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred. - Demonstrate thorough theoretical and practical understanding of discipline.
- Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced business.
- Proven expertise in SAP LE, IM, WM/EWM, and integration technologies (API, EDI, IDOCs).
- Ability to strategically analyze and develop solutions for complex SAP‑related problems.
- Experience with SAP S/4
HANA and familiarity with supply‑chain management systems is a plus. - Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes, in good faith, it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
