The Fountain Group. is currently seeking a
Manufacturing Technician II
for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in North Chicago, IL, 60064. Details of the position are as follows:

Job Description:

  • Pay is $24-25hr to start!! Based on experience.
  • 12-month assignment with the possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
  • Shift Options:
    • Sunday – Wednesday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    • Wednesday – Saturday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Use sophisticated programs (such as LIMS, SAP, automated control systems) to collect and evaluate operating data and make online adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
  • Assist with cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, including glass washers, autoclaves, and other aseptic processing tools.
  • Support buffer/media preparation, column chromatography, and tangential flow filtration operations.
  • Handle in-process and raw material sampling and ensure compliance with GMP and GDP guidelines.
  • Maintain and monitor production areas, equipment, and surrounding environments, ensuring proper function of refrigerators, freezers, and incubation rooms.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals or biologics manufacturing Required.
    • OR Associate degree from an accredited two-year program with relevant work experience.
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Natural Science, Cell Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with GMP practices, aseptic techniques, and clean room operations is a Plus.
  • Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with automated manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Experience with buffer/media preparation and equipment preparation (CIP/SIP) preferred but training is available for the right candidate.
