Position: Physician Assistant (PA)

As a Full Time Physician Assistant (PA), you will provide care to client employees.

Schedule

Our health center is open Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. This position offers a consistent 40‑hour work week with no weekend shifts. You would be joining a team of passionate professionals that make a meaningful impact one patient at a time.

Essential Functions
  • Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
  • Record physical findings, formulate plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition, and provide written home‑going instructions.
  • Collaborate with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan as necessary.
  • Prescribe or recommend medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
  • Refer patients for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
  • Maintain medical records using (in some health centers it may be using Electronic Medical Record software).
  • Educate and coach nursing staff on best nursing practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Maintain state licenses/certifications to practice.
  • Maintain Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable).
  • Current NCCPA national certification required.
  • Degree from ARC-PA accredited program.
  • Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
  • State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration).
  • Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required;
    Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
Preferred Experience
  • At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
  • Training skills a plus.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving and workflow management skills preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.

Compensation

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $135,000–$ annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
