Reports To: Service Manager
Work Model: Remote (North Dakota / South Dakota)
Division: Electrification Smart Power
Responsibilities- Performs service tasks; identifies technical problems and conducts analysis through remote or on-site activities in various service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end‑of‑life services, replacements, etc.).
- Contributes to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer orders and expectations, building and maintaining good relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and identifying new sales opportunities to communicate internally.
- Coordinates, prepares, and ensures that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and meet the appropriate quality standards for service activities.
- Provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing skills and expertise.
- Prepares all documents and reports for delivery to the customer representative, reports work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed.
- Identifies potential equipment failures proactively, requests corrective actions, troubleshoots equipment failures, and makes recommendations to prevent future issues.
- Identifies suggestions for product and quality improvement, communicates them within the organization, and provides recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service.
- Applies safety rules and practices, as well as environmental responsibilities, and reports unsafe practices and incidents.
- Works with a sense of urgency until the job is complete.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent military experience, or an Associate’s degree with 2 or more years of experience in servicing critical power equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED with 8 or more years of experience is also considered.
- Advanced level ability to interact and communicate (written and verbal) with varying levels within the organization.
- Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office products.
- Moderate ability to self‑project manage using MS Project or Excel.
- Advanced ability to write test plans and reports detailing test results.
- Works well with others and with a sense of urgency until completion.
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Salary Range: $65,100 – $104,160 per year
