Insight Environmental is seeking a full‑time Environmental Technician for its office in Watford City, North Dakota. The position is located in a convenient commute for the local area.

As an Environmental Technician, you will assist clients in meeting compliance standards by inspecting and monitoring their sites while maintaining high levels of safety and integrity. Experience is not required, but related experience is a plus.

• Perform environmental compliance inspections at an oil refinery using air monitoring equipment and data collectors.
• Supervise and perform environmental inspections, monitoring, and testing.
• Conduct Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) inspections using a flame ionization detector (FID).
• Manage the environmental database (LeakDAS).
• Maintain identification of LDAR components, piping and instrument diagrams.
• Keep records of monitoring activities.
• Generate maintenance work orders.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports.
• Perform optical gas imaging inspections.
• Participate in weekly compliance and safety meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma required;
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of 40 CFR Part 60 and relevant state LDAR regulations.
• Experience reading P&IDs.
• Experience troubleshooting instrumentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with peers, managers, and customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn various environmental databases.
• Must be able to work at heights up to 200 ft.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work in pipe racks and climb towers.
• Must be able to carry a backpack with tools and equipment (50 lbs).
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to other company offices and job sites.

• Type:
  Full‑time – 40 hours per week with minimal overtime.
• Pay: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour.
