Job Summary And Responsibilities
As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.
Every day you will rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions, while safely operating emergency vehicles and documenting care. To be successful, you will demonstrate expert clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking under stress, and compassionate communication, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
What you'll do- Provides professional and compassionate patient care to all age groups.
- Individualizes Patient Care as needed to accurately reflect current patient needs. This ensures that interventions or physician order requests are made promptly, particularly when exceptions occur on patient care guidelines.
- Provides patient care, which is appropriate to the patient diagnosis, symptoms, and physician orders, following ambulance and/or hospital policies and procedures.
- Performs patient assessment and takes appropriate action according to treatment guidelines.
- Administers Medications utilizing the 5 Rights and according to the stand operating procedure.
- Identifies significant changes or high-risk situations in patient’s condition and takes appropriate actions as evidenced in reporting, consultations, treatment and documentation, i.e. physician orders after consultation for telemetry, medications, etc.
- High School Diploma, ED or equivalent upon hire
- Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (NREMT-PARA) upon hire
- Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (EMT-P):
ND upon hire - North Dakota (ND) Driver's License upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire

In our Critical Access Hospital, you will be exposed to the emergency department, acute care (Med/Surg), swing bed, surgery, outpatient treatment, and so much more!
Pay Range$21.54 - $30.42 /hour
