Psy Phy Care , a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking to contract with a Director of Radiology to oversee and manage Radiology Department operations for a healthcare facility located in Elgin, ND
.
This leadership role is designed for experienced imaging professionals committed to ensuring high-quality diagnostic services, regulatory compliance, and strong team performance within a clinical setting.
The Radiology Director will provide strategic leadership, supervise clinical and technical staff, and ensure optimal workflow, patient safety, and quality standards across all imaging modalities.
LOCATIONThe Radiology Director will support a hospital or integrated care setting that serves a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical needs.
This assignment is onsite at the facility located in Elgin, ND
.
Full-time position aligned with facility needs.
May require participation in an on-call leadership rotation.
Specific weekly schedule and administrative hours will be discussed during screening and onboarding.
The Radiology Director will perform duties including, but not limited to:
Provide administrative and clinical leadership for all radiology services, including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and other imaging modalities.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate radiology technologists, leads, and support staff.
Ensure adherence to imaging protocols, radiation safety standards, and regulatory requirements (ACR, JCAHO, CMS, HIPAA).
Oversee workflow efficiency, patient scheduling, staffing assignments, and departmental performance metrics.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support seamless patient care.
Manage budgeting, equipment purchasing, maintenance planning, and vendor relationships.
Maintain high standards of image quality, patient safety, and service excellence.
Review quality assurance results and implement corrective action plans when needed.
Monitor compliance documentation, accreditation readiness, and policy updates.
Support staff training, competency validation, and continuing education initiatives.
Participate in organizational meetings, leadership committees, and strategic planning.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field (required).
Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business (preferred).
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive radiology experience
Managerial/Leadership experience
Broad clinical understanding of all major imaging modalities.
ARRT certification (required or equivalent credentials) and CT certification (preferred)
Applicable state Radiology license (where required).
Current BLS certification.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Expertise in imaging operations, workflow optimization, and compliance standards.
High proficiency with PACS/RIS/EMR systems.
Able to start IVs, and comfortable and confident doing scans with and without contrast.
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, service excellence, and professional integrity.
Ability to work in a clinical imaging environment and oversee multiple modalities.
Occasional standing, walking, or assisting with equipment checks.
Exposure to radiation and infectious diseases mitigated by PPE and safety protocols.
Must adhere to all hospital safety, quality, and compliance policies.

To be set by the Director in coordination with staff/travelers; previous proposed model was Mon–Thu, 8:00–4:30, no nights/weekends/call.
