What You’ll Do
  • Lead the full lifecycle of multiple simultaneous data center deployment projects, including design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover to operations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders—clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams—to facilitate clear communication and collaboration across all parties.
  • Effectively manage and allocate resources (teams, tools, budget) to ensure all project phases are adequately staffed and equipped.
  • Identify potential project risks, create mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues to minimize disruptions.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring projects are delivered within agreed contractual constraints.
  • Ensure that all data center deployments meet technical and quality standards, including compliance with industry best practices and local regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design documents, and give regular progress reports.
  • Provide technical guidance to teams, in collaboration with experts, on best practices for data center design and deployment, including power, cooling, networking, and physical security.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency; implement best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Be on‑site in Ellendale, North Dakota, to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth project execution.
Who You Are
  • 5+ years of direct, hands‑on experience in data center deployment, construction/whitespace project management, or technical project management in data centers.
  • Experience with high‑performance compute environments and GPU technologies is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects from initiation to completion.
  • In‑depth knowledge of data center infrastructure—servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems—and familiarity with best practices and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑management skills; strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues, troubleshoot, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as TIA‑942, Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, and data center compliance requirements.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to data center locations, sometimes on short notice.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or relevant experience).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, CDCP, CDCS) are a plus.
