- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Minimum of five years of experience in property and casualty underwriting, claims, or agency
- Knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report
- Insurance designations such as CPCU or CIC, or an agent license
- Advanced knowledge of independent agency operations and market conditions
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media
- Exceptional problem-solving and negotiating skills
