Job Summary
CHI Lisbon Health, a 25‑bed Critical Access Hospital in Lisbon, North Dakota, is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join its Emergency Department team. The role offers a stable, rural work environment with full‑time coverage of ten 24‑hour shifts per month, each shift requiring 10‑12 hours of onsite patient care on unrestricted call.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, from children to geriatric patients.
- Perform emergency room consults, triage, and direct medical care.
- Admit, round, and manage health needs of patients with complex and comorbid conditions.
- Manage all inpatient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and performance of medical procedures within scope of practice.
- Collaborate and coordinate patient care with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
- Implement quality and process improvement practices to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
- Provide 10‑12 hours of onsite patient care during each 24‑hour shift.
- Base salary: $156,000 per year.

Ten (10) full‑time 24‑hour shifts per month, each shift unrestricted call with 10‑12 hours onsite patient care.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant master’s or doctoral program.
- Minimum one year of emergency room or inpatient experience.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Hospital Medicine.
- Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS or CALS certification.
- Qualified to obtain an unrestricted state license and DEA registration.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to work independently, and adaptability to changing patient needs.
