Advanced Practice Nurse; Nurse Practitioner

Overview

Nurse Practitioner opportunity to join our healthcare team. This role focuses on patient-centered care with emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention, and comprehensive treatment. A recruitment/relocation sign-on bonus is available as you join our team.

• Assessment & Diagnosis:
  Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnosis:
  Identify and diagnose acute, chronic, and complex health conditions.
• Treatment Planning:
  Develop individualized care plans addressing patient needs, including treatment goals and expected outcomes.
• Prescribing:
  Prescribe medications, therapies, and medical devices.

• Conditions of employment:

• Designation requiring contact or control over Indian children under Public Law 101-630; background investigations and related conditions apply.

• Medical staff clinical privileges and licensure requirements; failure to obtain/maintain privileges may lead to adverse actions, up to removal from Federal service.
• On-call hours or standby duty may be required.
• Successful passage of E-Verify employment verification check.
• Direct deposit setup required for payroll.

Flexibility may allow tentative qualification for applicants currently enrolled in required education and licensure programs, with completion expected within 9 months of applying.

This position has an education requirement. Submit transcripts or a list of courses. Unofficial transcripts are accepted in the application package; official transcripts required from selected candidates prior to offer. Education must be from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Foreign education credits require a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency for credit toward qualification.

• Federal employees accrue annual leave based on years of service; credit for related non-federal experience may apply.
• This position is covered by a bargaining unit. Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized with a service agreement.

• Promotion potential to GS-12; not guaranteed and subject to management discretion and regulatory approvals.
