Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation—to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, using age‑ and population‑specific standards as designated in the assigned clinical setting.
Responsibilities include preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, care coordination, resident assessment, resident education and various nursing interventions. The RN may serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within the scope of the job description, ensuring safe and reliable resident care and resolving care and service concerns. All actions are conducted in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and related regulations.
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program is preferred, including but not limited to CCNE, ACEN, and NLN CNEA. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. The candidate must hold an unencumbered RN license with the state board of nursing where practice occurs and/or possess multistate licensure if in an NLC state. Required department‑specific competencies and certifications must be obtained and maintained.
Requirements- Support multiple locations within 150 miles of permanent address.
- Mileage reimbursement provided.
- Premium pay rates: $5 per hour premium on all hours worked, $1.25 per hour weekend shift differential, $1.25 per hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM–6:00 AM).
- Long‑term care experience: 6 months preferred, 3 months required.
- Minimum 30 hours per month; one weekend shift per month.
