Salary Range: $24 - $36
Premium Pay Rates:
$5/hour premium on all hours worked.
$1.25/hour weekend shift differential
$1.25/hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting. Performs testing, documents resident interactions, and contributes to the interdisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities- Provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care.
- Assesses residents, administers medications or treatments as ordered, and documents resident care.
- Communicates clearly and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team and counsels residents, family members, and residents’ advocates.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred; must graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Minimum of 18 years of age and holds an unencumbered LPN license with State Nursing board.
- Minimum of 400 hours LPN experience at another facility or supervised clinical experience as part of the curriculum.
- Graduation from a Board approved AASPN program with IV therapy curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing if IV therapy skills are required.
- Obtains and maintains required competencies and certifications and completes required annual continuing education units (CEU).
