Good Samaritan is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Sunset facility in Mandan, ND. This position is full‑time with straight weekend shifts.

- Location: Mandan, ND
- Shift: 8‑hour day shift
- Schedule: Part time (24.00 hours per week)
- Salary Range: $19.00 – $25.50 per hour
- Sign‑On Bonus: $5,000
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods in a long‑term care setting. The NA provides resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering age‑appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs as per each resident’s care plan.
- Managing infection prevention and control policies and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and mobility, including repositioning, walking, and transfer techniques.
- Monitoring vital signs and recording observations of resident behavior, activity, and diet.
- Providing assistance with meals and snacks, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Supporting nursing staff with procedures and documentation of resident interactions.
- Maintaining housekeeping and laundry services to keep resident areas clean.
- Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs.
- Participating in departmental or organizational committees and task forces as needed.
- High school graduate or GED (preferred but not required).
- Minimum age 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or enrollment in a training program with certification obtained within four months.
- Completion of annual department‑specific competency testing and maintenance of at least 12 hours of continuing education credits annually.
- Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry where applicable.
- May require a valid driver’s license and medical clearance if the role includes driving responsibilities per Sanford Category II Driver policies.
