Job Title

Department Manager – Tools – Carrington, ND

$14.00–$15.00 depending on experience.

Responsible for merchandising and sales within the Tools department, ensuring high customer service levels and reporting to the Store Manager. Requires ability to work days, nights, and an alternating weekend schedule. Extensive knowledge of hardware and general tools preferred.

• Direct and coordinate merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of the department.
• Assist customers with purchases and provide excellent service.
• Collaborate with Retail Buyers to determine product needs.
• Assist in training and directing new department team members.
• Enforce safety practices when handling merchandise.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

• Ability to work an irregular schedule.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Long periods of standing, bending, and twisting.

• High school diploma preferred.
• Customer service training or experience preferred.
