POSITION SUMMARY
Targa is currently seeking a Pipeline Technician (Pigger).
JOB FUNCTIONS ANDKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pigging Operations, along with proper documentation
- Maintain and operate pick‑up and equipment for pigging
- Site cleanup and maintenance
- Assisting other field operators, when necessary, where needed
- MOC's, Recognition of need and facilitation of proper protocol
- Pipe maintenance
- PSM compliance
- Valve inspections and maintenance – at specified time frames, along with appropriate documentation
- Work weekends / rotation
- Call out status / rotation
- Emergency call‑out
- Other job duties as assigned
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record satisfactory to the company
- Interpersonal communication skills required to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors
- Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to effectively work with minimum supervision
- Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office software
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objectives, and work shifts for plant or field conditions
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in changing climate conditions
- Able to work in close quarters (kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, standing)
- Follow and adhere to all applicable PPE guidelines (eye protection, footwear, Nomex)
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Previous field technician experience
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objectives and work shifts for plant or field conditions
- Ability to frequently push, pull and lift at least 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 3–4 ft. and maneuver equipment or parts as needed
- Ability to work outdoors in changing climate conditions
- Able to work in close quarters (kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, standing)
- Ability to climb up and down ladders, stairs and platforms at varying heights
- Follow and adhere to all applicable PPE guidelines (eye protection, footwear, Nomex)
- Drug‑free workplace policy and pre‑employment substance abuse testing
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing per applicable federal regulations or Targa policy
