Crane Operator - Belfield, ND, ND Energy Services

Crane Operator is responsible for providing the safe operation of the crane by performing crane setup, pre-trip inspection, rigging, and crane operation.

• Operate crane under general supervision
• Manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions
• Ensure load is properly secured
• Review rigging work prior to lifting
• Inspect crane for safety issues on a daily basis
• Complete job tickets, and all other necessary paperwork
• Life, position, and place machinery, equipment, or other large objects ad locations
• Drive crane to work site
• Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads
• Move levers and pedals to rotate crane on chassis to raise and lower crane boom and to raise and lower load line
• Attends and participates in safety meetings
• Understand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, weight and dimension requirements, and any other regulations that are required
• Reports any and all incidents immediately
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Performs other duties as directed by management

• Must be able to lift 60 pounds and handle physically demanding work
• Must be able to communicate using oral and basic written communication
• Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening and participate in the random testing pool
• Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
• Arrange for reliable transportation to and from work

This job operates in an outside environment. The role routinely works in all weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme wind, rain, cold, heat, etc.

$80,000 to $130,000 per year.
