Green skies is seeking a Project Coordinator (PC) to bolster its solar photovoltaic and energy storage team. The ideal candidate has a background in project management, project administration, project coordination, or similar experience. The PC will have adept organizational skills, as well as computer and software proficiencies. This role will support the project team by performing pre-construction, installation, and project closeout administration.
This role reports to the Lead Project Coordinator.
- Apply for building / electrical / fire / zoning / construction permits across the US. Follow up with Authorities Having Jurisdiction related to permit approvals.
- Track engineering status. Ensure permits are applied for quickly after design drawings are ready and approved. Perform analytics on, and estimation of, permit costs and timelines.
- Track utility interconnection approvals and Permission to Operate status.
- Coordinate necessary drawing revisions to address permit comments.
- Create monthly construction progress reports for investors and customers.
- Execute roof warranty continuation process. Apply for overburden waivers, schedule inspections, coordinate roof repairs, save documents to project folders.
- Assist with filing documents in electronic project folders.
- Check project milestone dates in project management software. Edit or consult construction project manager as needed to ensure accurate dates.
- Perform misc other duties assigned by Construction Managers or Directors of Project Delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Technical Studies, or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in power generation, clean energy, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing or similar industries.
- Knowledge of processes to acquire and maintain jurisdictional permits. (preferred, not required)
- Sufficient communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in computer software programs including Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, and project management-specific software.
