This position functions as the construction project lead responsible for the management and oversight of a project team consisting of construction inspectors, office engineers and other project support staff, working collectively to ensure all construction project work is performed in accordance with the contract documents and all of the Client’s needs are met.
Primary responsibilities include:
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:
Considerable knowledge of civil construction work practices and principles utilized on complex CTDOT facility, building and railroad construction projects; possess skills and ability to analyze and evaluate constructability issues and provide effective solutions; considerable technical skills and understanding of CPM schedules, preparation of engineering and administrative reports; strong leadership skills and ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written.
Minimum Qualifications – General
Experience:
Ten (10) years of related experience in various capacities working on applicable civil construction projects.
Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) registered in CT.
Must be able to lead and manage CE&I project staff, ensure all aspects of project work are accounted for.
Must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
