Tool Room Helper – Part-Time

Ulbrich Shaped Wire has a part-time opportunity for a Tool Room Helper at the Ulbrich Shaped Wire facility in North Haven, CT. This position reports to the Tool Room Supervisor and assists the Tool Makers in day-to-day tasks. Hours are 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

• Assemble new rolls ready for production
• Disassemble rolls that have been used
• Clean rolls and bearings
• Log information in/out of inventory using the computer system
• Put away rolls and bearings
• Inspect bearings for excessive wear or damage
• Crate repairs
• General housekeeping of the Tooling area
• Deliver and pick up rolls and misc. items
• Assist operators when needed

A high school diploma plus strong mechanical aptitude is required. Experience assembling, running and operating machinery. Must have basic computer skills. Ability to lift 40–50 lbs. and stand for up to 4 hours.
