Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine, founded in 1973 to provide advanced veterinary care through centralized expertise, equipment, and resources, specializes in small-animal practice. Our team includes over 20 experienced veterinarians supported by nurses, technicians, assistants, and administrators. With two locations open 24/7 year-round, we provide emergency care, specialty services including surgery, cardiology, oncology, and more, as well as radiology and canine rehabilitation.
Annually, we handle referrals from over 300 veterinary clinics and are committed to exceptional patient care for a wide range of pets.
This is a full-time, on-site Specialty Veterinary Technician role located in Greater Hartford. The technician will collaborate with veterinarians and the medical team to provide specialized care to a diverse range of small animals and exotics. Day-to-day tasks involve assisting in diagnostic procedures, administering anesthesia, performing routine animal care duties, and supporting the rehabilitation and treatment of patients. Educating pet owners about care plans and treatments will also be essential to the role.

- Proficiency in Animal Care and Veterinary Technology
- Experience in Anesthesiology and advanced Pet Care
- Ability to provide effective Client Education on pet health and treatment plans
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Previous experience in a clinical or specialty veterinary setting is a plus
- Relevant certifications or a degree in Veterinary Technology preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation:
Starting at $29/hr hourly wage is based off licensing, education, and skill set.
