With moderate supervision, the Retail Keyholder assists the store management team in executing and supervising all store activities. They provide outstanding guest service within Game Stop’s Circle of Life buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model.
EssentialJob Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide best‑in‑class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions, recommend items, and promote the trade‑in program.
- Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships.
- Process purchases and returns accurately via the POS system.
- Answer phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Promote Game Stop’s guest benefits such as title reservations and the Pro Rewards program.
- Maintain store cleanliness and merchandising standards.
- Complete omni‑channel orders daily.
- Safeguard company assets through inventory control and loss prevention, including bank deposits.
- Conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise, and keep the selling floor organized.
- Participate in store goals, sales, profit, and shrink objectives, completing required admin duties.
- Reconciling daily business transaction totals and completing closeout paperwork.
- Check shipments for discrepancies and report them.
- Process defectives/recalls and handle stock pulls accurately.
- Inspect packaging and belongings during closing or shift end.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management.
- Adhere to Game Stop policies and procedures.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures.
- Provide performance feedback to associates.
- Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
- Minimum age 18.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, or management experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of video games (preferred).
- Ability to work independently, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

- Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days per week).

- Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Stand and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
