Job Description

PCI is seeking an experienced Manager, Pre-Construction Services for its PCI Sacramento 556 operations based in North Highlands, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
  • Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing.
  • Responsible for the buyout of subcontractors.
  • Accountable for results to meet business objectives for revenue and margin.
  • Build solid customer relations with all customers.
  • Assign bids and coordinates bid calendar.
  • Oversite of the estimating department.
  • Uses available technology to perform job tasks efficiently.
  • Creates strong morale and spirit in his/her team and defines success in terms of the whole team.
Basic Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years' experience with PCI or similar company.
  • Experience with commercial interior construction; metal stud, drywall, acoustical ceiling scopes.
  • Current position of Senior Estimator or higher.
  • Working knowledge of all PCI applications including Quick Bid and On-Screen Takeoff.
  • Ability to work with numerous contractors and sub-contractors in an efficient manner.
  • Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specification and drawings for PCI's scopes of work.
  • High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught.
  • Ability to train, motivate and inspire those around him/her.
