Para educator – Independence Facilitator (7 hrs/day, Sierra View)
Position Summary: Provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in classroom settings. Assists individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning and supports teachers with instruction and classroom management in special and general education classrooms, as well as lunchroom and play field environments.

Employee Type: Full‑Time
Salary: $20.33 – $26.87 per hour in 9 annual steps; placement based on experience.
Location: Sierra View
Hours: 7 hours/day; 5 days/week
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance (full district contribution for 6+ hrs/day; 50% contribution for 4–5.99 hrs/day).
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics. Completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment.

Certifications:
May require a valid driver’s license, compliance with district skill/competency requirements, and a valid First Aid/CPR card.

- Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma, Transcripts, or Equivalent such as GED)
- Resume (provide clear evidence of required experience)
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
