Para educator‑Independence Facilitator – 7 hrs/day (Miles P Richmond)
Position Summary: Provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in classroom settings, assists individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning, and assists teachers with instruction and classroom management that occurs in special education and general education classrooms, lunchroom, and play‑field environs.

Salary: $20.33 – $26.87 per hour, 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on experience (new hire maximum of step
5).
Location: Miles P Richmond
Hours: 7 hours/day; 5 days/week
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours per day; 50% contribution for 4‑5.99 hours per day).
Education and Experience: The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics. Completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment.
Licenses and
Certifications:
May require a valid driver’s license. Compliance with District skill/competency requirements. May require a valid First Aid/CPR card.

- Proof of high school graduation (High school diploma, transcripts, or equivalent such as GED)
- Resume (clear evidence of required experience)
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
