Job Summary

This position offers a unique opportunity to bridge engineering, planning, and production, ensuring the successful delivery of major shipbuilding programs. If you possess strong engineering fundamentals and hands‑on experience in marine or industrial projects, this is your chance to advance your career in a challenging and rewarding setting.

Responsibilities
  • Support engineering teams by reviewing drawings, specifications, technical data, and system documentation for new vessel builds.
  • Assist in coordinating piping, mechanical, structural, and electrical system installations.
  • Resolve technical issues between engineering and production to maintain build accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze engineering changes, incorporate updates, and support as‑built documentation.
  • Participate in planning, scheduling, material coordination, and progress tracking activities.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, planners, and QA teams to meet vessel milestones.
  • Conduct field inspections to verify installation accuracy and identify opportunities for production improvements.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and final acceptance activities as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting shipbuilding, marine construction, or industrial engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, technical diagrams, and system layouts.
  • Knowledge of ABS, USCG, and marine industry standards and requirements.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to connect engineering concepts with production processes.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools; familiarity with Ship Constructor is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Ability to work comfortably in an active shipyard environment, including entering vessels, climbing ladders, and accessing confined spaces.
