As a Maintenance Mechanic
, you are a critical member of our technical manufacturing team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and uptime of high-precision manufacturing equipment. You will apply your expertise to troubleshoot and repair complex systems, including CNC machinery, hydraulic presses, and advanced 5-axis laser systems. This role requires a proactive technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining a safe, efficient facility.
- Diagnose, disassemble, and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns for a wide range of industrial equipment, including CNC machines, hydraulic/pneumatic presses, waterjets, and 5-axis lasers.
- Perform teardowns and rebuilds on pumps and motors to ensure optimal flow and pressure specifications are met.
- Execute scheduled PM tasks on machinery and facility infrastructure strictly by deadlines to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair 120–480V 3-phase electrical systems and assist in identifying faults in PLC-driven logic.
- Conduct hazardous waste accumulation area checks and participate in EHS safety walks.
- Ensure shop cleanliness and organized storage of tools and equipment.
- Support winter safety by assisting with snow removal at facility entrances and walkways.
- Research and identify replacement parts, maintain an accurate inventory of shop supplies, and communicate procurement needs to the Department Lead.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in accordance with OSHA standards and internal safety protocols.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Hands-on experience with 120V–480V 3-phase electrical systems.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without current or future sponsorship.
- Experience with pump rebuilding, CNC operation/repair, or welding (MIG/TIG).
- Basic proficiency in plumbing and light carpentry.
- Valid experience or certification in operating Forklifts preferred.
- A self-starter with strong troubleshooting logic, a willingness to learn new technologies, and a "team-first" attitude.
- Possession of a standard set of basic hand tools.
- Willingness to participate in an "on-call" rotation as needed.
