THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (T32), PD D1525000 and is part of the RI 143d AMXS. Its purpose is to act as the crew chief with responsibility for directing the total maintenance effort on individually assigned aircraft. If the selected applicant does not qualify for the full potential grade, he or she may be brought on in the Developmental grade of WG-08, PD# D0489000 or WG 10, PD# D1366000.
Requirements- NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the Rhode Island Air National Guard, 143 AMXS.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants must be hold the military grade listed in this announcement.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

- Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Candidate must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS.
