Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Technician, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Technician to support the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service of equipment across shop and field environments. This role may require work at local government facilities and occasional travel as the technician progresses in the position.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and service on electrical systems, including 12 VDC and 120–460 VAC systems and controls.
• Assist with maintenance and basic repairs on diesel engines, including oil changes, fuel filters, fuel lines, and PTO adjustments.
• Support maintenance and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems.
• Work with compressed air and pneumatic systems.
• Assist with power drive systems, including electric and diesel-driven equipment.
• Safely operate company vehicles as needed for service calls.
• Comply with all safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform physical tasks including lifting materials or equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and customers.

• Clean driving record required.
• No felony convictions (position requires access to local government facilities).
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and power drive systems preferred.
• CDL license for a 32,000 lb truck and trailer combination (no air brake certification required) is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Ability to wear a half-mask, two-cartridge respirator and pass fit testing; facial hair may need to be shaved at times to meet safety requirements.
• Willingness to travel overnight as needed as the role progresses.
