Equans Data Centres are seeking to appoint a Project Engineer – Mechanical to support our growing Data Centre business.
Responsibilities- Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
- Co‑ordinate and control the on‑site construction process, ensuring the site build progresses in line with the plan.
- Liaise with statutory authorities and local authorities as directed by the Site Manager in the submission of all Building Regulation cards required to allow the project to progress.
- Attend site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for progress reports.
- Chair and minute subcontractor meetings in the absence of the Site or Project Manager.
- Assist the Site Manager in the management of materials.
- Maintain record keeping (diary, drawing register, H&S, COSHH assessments, as‑built drawings, levels & foundations records, site H&S file).
- Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety requirements.

- Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
- Proven technical knowledge of mechanical services.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑motivated with proven organisational ability and a drive to meet deadlines.
- Customer‑focused with effective communication skills.
- Attention to health and safety matters.
- Commercially astute.
- Experience in the data centres sector is desirable.
- Degree or equivalent in a mechanical discipline is desirable.
