Project Engineer - Mechanical

Equans Data Centres are seeking to appoint a Project Engineer – Mechanical to support our growing Data Centre business.

• Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
• Co‑ordinate and control the on‑site construction process, ensuring the site build progresses in line with the plan.
• Liaise with statutory authorities and local authorities as directed by the Site Manager in the submission of all Building Regulation cards required to allow the project to progress.
• Attend site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for progress reports.
• Chair and minute subcontractor meetings in the absence of the Site or Project Manager.
• Assist the Site Manager in the management of materials.
• Maintain record keeping (diary, drawing register, H&S, COSHH assessments, as‑built drawings, levels & foundations records, site H&S file).
• Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety requirements.

• Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
• Proven technical knowledge of mechanical services.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Self‑motivated with proven organisational ability and a drive to meet deadlines.
• Customer‑focused with effective communication skills.
• Attention to health and safety matters.
• Commercially astute.
• Experience in the data centres sector is desirable.
• Degree or equivalent in a mechanical discipline is desirable.
