Senior Category Manager

Location: Glenboig

Our client, a Housing Association based in Birmingham , is currently recruiting for a Senior Category Manage r on a 6 month FTC basis offering a FTE salary of £65,000 The position is due to start ASAP , dependent on notice and travel will be required to the office one day per week . The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PCR 2013/PA 23 , ideally within a Social Housing setting.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing strategic projects and categories, mainly assets, materials and strategic projects Overall responsibility will be covering up wards of circa £100m of spend, with the materials project totalling £48m of spend Proactively planning, coordinating and managing procurement activity, maximising savings, value for money and social value Supporting internal stakeholders with contract management advice and guidance and ensure accurate contract data and reporting is maintained in line with legal requirements Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process, including market analysis, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract award Experience required:

Working hours:
